Be Indifferent to Negative Thoughts

Here at the Tao of Indifference we like to spread the philosophy of indifference AND build self esteem.

You’ll notice that a lot of the things I’ve written about suggest that you become indifferent to negativity.

A great friend of mine, the lovely Emily Roberts MA, LPC is also all about being positive and building self-esteem.

She is a contributing author for where she writes the weekly blog Building Self-Esteem and also blogs at The Guidance Girl. Emily is the co-founder of The Talking Room, a proactive program for girls ages 5-9 specializing in developing self-esteem, confidence, leadership, friendship skills, and stress reduction activities with an emphasis on creating healthy boundaries with technology and is also a  parenting consultant for Neurogistics Corporation.

She just wrote a great post about Getting a grip on negative thoughts that I thought would be great to share with you all.

Needless to say, when she asked me to answer some questions about what men are really thinking I jumped at the chance.

Check out the post here.

I answered the questions about texting and finding personal items in a girl’s bedroom.

In short, text less but say more and hide your lingerie, embarrassing books, and sex toys.

Good Luck out there

    1. depends on the book. If I was going to a girl’s apartment to “watch movies” and she had the bible on her nightstand I’d be a little weirded out but I think books that are more spiritual (ex. Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance) are fine.
